HPWC: Christian Voluntary Support Worker

Position: Voluntary Support Worker
Location: Highams Park, E4
Commitment: Part-time (flexible hours, based on availability)

Key Responsibilities:
Meeting and Greeting: Welcome church members, visitors, and newcomers with a friendly attitude, ensuring they feel comfortable and included.
Hospitality: Assist with setting up and organising refreshments, such as tea, coffee, and snacks, before and after services or events.
Serving Refreshments: Prepare and serve tea, coffee, and light snacks, ensuring that all areas are kept clean and tidy throughout.
Support Team Coordination: Collaborate with other volunteers and staff to ensure smooth hospitality operations, communicating effectively to meet the needs of the service: Creating a Welcoming Space: Maintain a clean, organized, and comfortable environment in communal areas, ensuring everyone feels at home.
Spiritual Support: Offer a listening ear to anyone seeking fellowship, and assist with directing individuals to church leaders or pastoral care if needed.

Team Player: Willingness to work with other volunteers and church staff in a cooperative and supportive manner.

Requirements:
Active member or regular attendee of a church or a shared commitment to the Christian faith.
Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or voluntary work is beneficial but not essential.
Availability to volunteer during church services, special events, or community gatherings.
