Do you want to reach out to people with the Gospel, but don’t know how or aren’t sure where to start? Join the club – literally! At The Deliverers, we evangelise by sending handwritten letters and cards proclaiming the Good News to the neighbourhoods with the fewest Christians. It’s a simple, flexible, non-confrontational way of spreading the Gospel that any Christian can get involved in.

To send evangelistic mailings to non-Christian areas periodically throughout the year, including general mailings sent at any time, and seasonal mailings (e.g. Christmas cards) at specific times of year. You can either hand-deliver mailings to addresses in the least Christian parts of your own town or city, or send them through the postal system to the least Christian parts of your country.

To purchase the required materials, prepare them for postage, and include a handwritten message of love which personalises each mailing and distinguishes it from ‘junk mail’. Unfortunately, due to our small funding base, we are currently unable to pay expenses for mailing materials, but we sometimes organise bulk buy schemes where we pool our resources to secure materials and postage at a discounted rate.

To participate in the business of The Deliverers, including engaging in our vibrant and active WhatsApp group, attending our online General Meeting each January, and engaging in other meetings and activities as appropriate.

To generally support and promote The Deliverers wherever possible, helping it to attract new members and continue to spread the Gospel through its mailing activities.

Time commitment varies and can be adapted to what time you have available. The only required meeting is the General Meeting, lasting for 1-2 hours each January. There are also optional monthly meetings, at around 1 hour per month. The Deliverers organise several seasonal mailing campaigns throughout the year, along with an all-year campaign that you are always welcome to participate in – however, each individual campaign is optional to take part in and can be missed if not convenient. Time spent producing mailings in each campaign will vary depending on how many mailings you send, but for a typical member on a typical campaign, it could take around 2 hours a week over around 4 weeks.
