Children and Families Worker

The Children and Families Worker will be employed by the 
Launceston Central Methodist Church and will be under the 
supervision of Superintendent Minister in pastoral charge.

Closing Date: 28th November 2025 
Interview Date: 7th December 2025

Location: Cornwall 
Part Time: 16 Hours Per Week
Salary:  (minimum approx. £10,500 pa 
for part-time  - £24,500.00 full-time equivalent) 
Fixed Term renewable until autumn 2028 (three years after start date) 
Probation period of six months
Benefits: 28 days annual leave entitlement per year including bank holidays (pro-rata to 
part-time employment), flexible working.

Main Objectives: 
1. To reach out and build relationships with families and children, and to invite/encourage them to participate in and support the church community including attendance at church events and church services.  
2. To build links with other local community groups, schools and organisations to raise the profile 
of the church, communicate our activities in order to facilitate and promote introductions to and deepening of faith. 
3. To enable individuals to come and grow their faith, through prayer, study, action and relationships.  
4. To assist with supporting the development and implementation of the church’s overall mission. 
5. To develop new activities as required in our mission to build relationships with families and children.
